About the artist.
Hello, I am artcat, the artist behind the cats and other artwork on this site. Many have asked what inspired the "purrniture and Furrniture" so here is my answer, I admired the indonesian cat tables and decided to try my hand at metamorphing furniture into animals especially cats. I Have worked with a cat rescue group since middle school and have been around animals my whole life so they were a natural focus for me.
I hold an associates degree in fine art, and hope to one day hold
a masters degree in the field. My dream is to become an artist in
the private sector, perhaps own a gallery or two and teach art.
So far I have taught art to children ages 2 through 15 , through
volunteer work, substituting, guest speaking/demonstrator, and
part time teacher in a private school. Currently I work full time as a Project Assistant for a construction company, and am an ebay consultant.
